The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language is set to participate in the Beijing International Book Fair 2024, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be the guest of honour at this year’s event, which will be held from 19 to 23 June at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

The academy’s participation is in collaboration with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s cultural and linguistic heritage. This involvement aligns with various national entities to support the Human Capability Development Program, part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative.

The program aims to enhance cultural exchange and foster development through activities such as seminars and panel discussions featuring Saudi and Chinese researchers.

A highlight of the academy’s agenda is the Saudi-Chinese Linguistic Forum, a significant scientific and cultural event. Organised in cooperation with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the forum will bring together experts from both nations to discuss and promote linguistic studies.

“The forum represents a unique opportunity to deepen the cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and China,” said a spokesperson for the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language.

The Beijing International Book Fair is a major global event, attracting publishers, authors, and literary enthusiasts from around the world. Saudi Arabia’s role as the guest of honour underscores the country’s growing influence in the international literary and cultural arenas.
